YOMOGI/ JAPANESE MUGWORT (ARTEMISIA PRINCEPS)

9.95

Japanese cousin to the more commonly known mugwort (A. vulgaris) and is one of the source plants for moxa.  Very aromatic with extremely fuzzy stems and leaves that are silver underneath. Spreads by stolons and should be planted in an area it can spread or should be consciously tended each year.  Makes an excellent smudge.  Used as a culinary herb in Japan and is the basis for the traditional dish kusamochi (rice cake with mugwort).  Flowers to about 3 ft.  Prefers full sun and well-drained flowers. Hardy perennial to Zone 3.
