Potent, live medicinal plants for your home garden!

fall aster.jpg

Medicinal plant conservation is a poignant topic in our modern world.  Here in Massachusetts we have seen the near-extinction of many important woodland medicinals due to over-harvesting, such as American Ginseng, Goldenseal and Black Cohosh just to name a few.  Part of our mission here at Milk & Honey Herbs is to create a sanctuary of threatened medicinal herbs, and also offer organically and ethically grown plants (especially those on the United Plant Savers  “To Watch” and “At Risk” Lists) so that folks can create their own herb gardens at home, contributing to local and planetary biodiversity.

ALL PLANT ORDERS for the 2015 season are DUE BY MAY 1st! WE SHIP!

ABOUT US
We are a small-scale, sustainable nursery guided by the principles of permaculture.  Our focus is on field-grown perennials, and most of our offerings are 1-3 years old, at least, with strong and well-established root systems.  We do offer annuals and biennials as well. Our 2 ½ acre farm is home to a unique range of habitats, including open field, woodland edges, wet meadow and woodland, and mixed hardwood forest. By using permaculture principles, and also taking advantage of the naturally diverse growing preferences of medicinal plants, we have been able to grow our herbs in their ideal natural habitats, producing exceptionally healthy and medicinally potent stock.
