ELDERBERRY (SAMBUCUS CANADENSIS)

14.95

Elderberry prefers rich and moist soil but will grow just about anywhere it is planted.  Full sun to part shade, but will bear more heavily in full sun.  Plant along woodland edges. The creamy-white flowers emerge in June and are excellent in cold and flu teas and are also well known for their use in skin and beauty products.  The dark purple berries ripen in late summer and are the base for the famous anti-viral Elderberry Syrup.  Perennial.  Our offering is the native bush commonly found here in Massachusetts.  Hardy perennial to Zone 4.
