Herbal medicine is in our bones. We all come from plant people, whether it's one generation back or fifty, and kitchen medicine was almost always the way herbs were woven into the fabric of folks' everyday lives. We can bring herbs into our hearts and kitchens, while connecting with our ancestral traditions and herbs, by embracing food as medicine and working with herbs that truly walk the line between medicine and food. Humans have been in relationship with common "weeds" like Nettles and Dandelion, and even well-known culinary herbs like Rosemary and Thyme, for millennia and incorporating them into the diet is the most long-standing way herbalism has been practiced throughout the globe. In this talk we'll discuss some of these practically universal, ancestral kitchen herbs as well as ways to start working with herbs special to your own ancestral lineage. No pre-registration required, just show-up!
