Join us for a hands-on workshop exploring folk herbalism, medicine-making, and the synergy of honey and herbs. We’ll cover the medicinal properties of honey, learn easy ways to capture the medicine and flavors of herbs into honey, and get hands-on experience making our own herbal preparations. The class will cover the ancient and potent honey-based preparations known as electuaries as well as herbal-infused honeys, made with both fresh and dried herbs. We’ll also discuss many common household culinary herbs that make amazing herbal-infused honeys and make our own Winter Immune Honey to take home. Handouts and recipes will be provided!
