About our name…
An ancient Latin term, coined by the mystic, saint, and healer Hildegard von Bingen (c. 1098-1179 AD), it has also come to mean virility, viridity, lushness, growth, and the innate healing power of Nature.
In the Viriditas Membership space we explore our relationships with the green world and the multitude of ways we can relate to the plants for connection and healing. We dive into their herbal uses and medicine, deepen our relationships, explore wildtending, wildcrafting, and reciprocity, medicine-making and more- all while building and honing our herbal skills.
Viriditas is the innate vital force contained within us all that the plants help us access, direct, and hone, and is the healing force that animates all life forms including the plants.

I can't recommend this membership enough. It's such an amazing way to bring more awareness of plants and plant medicine into your life. There are so many easy uses of local plants in my yard that I was overlooking. I have so much more connection to the wild plants now with a lot more tools in sharing that with my students too. I'm throwing some plants in salads, in pancakes, in honey, in tea, and in bath salts, besides the slightly more in-depth processes of longer-term medicine making that Jade makes so easy, that it feels like no big deal now.

Thank you for this patreon and for your time and investment in this community and for the way you invite so many others in. Thank you for the way that you remind me I can still learn and grow and even begin to think of myself as an herbalist even if I don't drop everything and go back to school. That I can incorporate it into my life in all sorts of ways, and that not only is that good enough, but it brings a fresh perspective that will ultimately be valuable to others beyond myself.

Thank you again for the very thoughtful classes that you offer. You make big topics feel very manageable and approachable and they are often offering things that fit perfectly into what is currently happening with myself / my family / my yard (for example we are loaded with blueberries and anise hyssop currently so that oxymel recipe was very timely!). You have been instrumental in bringing a theoretical desire for using more plants into a real practice of doing so in my home.

Your content is bringing me so much joy this spring. I am relatively new to herbalism, and I really appreciate how accessible you make everything. I just went on my first foraging adventure yesterday after listening to your spring foraging class! I have only been a subscriber for a week and you have already changed how I look at plants like Dandelions:) Every time I see one now (which is a lot) I reflect on the abundance of medicine around us.
